Program Entry Requirements

To join the program, your first step is the Spanish Placement Exam. This determines your current proficiency so we can place you in the correct level. 

These prerequisites ensure that each student begins at the appropriate level and progresses successfully through the program.

After your placement, we will email you a registration link for your assigned level. 

Course Prerequisites

• Beginner Spanish: Level A1.1 → Requires the Spanish Placement Exam.

• Beginner Spanish: Level A1.2 → Requires either the Spanish Placement Exam or completion of Beginner Spanish: Level A1.1.

• Intermediate Spanish: Level A2.1 → Requires either the Spanish Placement Exam or completion of Beginner Spanish: Level A1.2.

• Intermediate Spanish: Level A2.2 → Requires either the Spanish Placement Exam or completion of Intermediate Spanish: Level A2.1.

• Advanced Spanish: Level B1.1 → Requires either the Spanish Placement Exam or completion of Intermediate Spanish: Level A2.2.

• Advanced Spanish: Level B1.2 → Requires either the Spanish Placement Exam or completion of Advanced Spanish: Level B1.1.

• Upper-Advanced Spanish: Level B2.1 → Requires either the Spanish Placement Exam or completion of Advanced Spanish: Level B1.2.

• Upper-Advanced Spanish: Level B2.2 → Requires either the Spanish Placement Exam or completion of Upper-Advanced Spanish: Level B2.1.
